Background
With lockdown in March 2020, came the suspension of District-14''s performance workshops at Ty Pawb in Wrexham.
The group immediately took to online and, thanks to the truly brilliant Company 3 resource 'The Coronavirus Time Capsule', we set about producing a series of 12 films, candidly shot on mobile phones, each one focused on a different theme, exploring life in lockdown for a group of 13-16 years olds from across the town.
Our aim was to capture moments in time when the coronavirus came. We are left with a precious historical document which already provides a fascinating insight into these strange and scary times, and it will get better and better with age. Sometimes irreverent, always revealing and often profound, this is the voice of young people in lockdown.
